What GreenHalos does
The Aurora24 experience combines operational space-weather data from the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center with independently processed visualisations, client-side darkness and moon calculations, and approved cloud-cover data.
GreenHalos separates current auroral activity, short-range geomagnetic forecasts and lower-confidence long-range outlooks. A ten-day outlook is never presented as an exact local aurora prediction.
Independent service
GreenHalos is independent from NOAA, NASA, MET Norway and every other cited data provider. Attribution identifies the source of information and does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
The service is informational. It is not an official warning service or a tool for aviation, marine navigation, power-grid operations, satellite operations, emergency response or other safety-critical decisions.
