Current status and editorial independence

GreenHalos currently has no paid placements, sponsored forecast content, affiliate links or programmatic advertising.

Commercial interests cannot change an aurora forecast, score, source, confidence label, alert or regional ranking. Forecast calculations and source notices remain independent.

Standards for commercial content

If advertising or sponsorship is introduced, it will be clearly labelled and visually separated from scientific data, forecast cards, source attribution and service messages.

• Commercial content will not cover or obstruct the globe, forecasts, navigation, accessibility controls or emergency information.
• It will not imitate buttons, forecast cards, alerts, source notices or official-authority messages.
• Legal, privacy, data-source, methodology, forecast-limitation and accessibility pages will remain advertising-free.
• Paid relationships and affiliate arrangements will be disclosed next to the relevant content.
• Precise location will not be used for advertising without a clear user choice and an applicable lawful basis.

Privacy and user control

Because advertising technology is not active, GreenHalos does not request advertising consent or place advertising cookies. If non-essential storage or processing is introduced, the privacy and cookie notices will identify the provider, purpose, data categories, retention and available choices before activation.
